Terms of Service

Last updated

These terms are an agreement between you and AsyncCoders (“we”, “us”), which operates Sthora. They apply when you create an account on or use the Sthora control plane. By doing either, you accept them. If you accept them for an organization, you confirm you may bind it.

01The service

Sthora is a hosted control plane. It connects to servers you own or control through an agent you run on them, and on your instructions builds, runs, routes, monitors, and backs up software on those servers. What each plan includes is shown on the pricing page.

02Your account

  • You must be at least eighteen and able to enter a binding contract.
  • Give accurate details, keep your credentials safe, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the people you invite and the roles you give them.

03Your servers

You remain responsible for the servers you connect: their cost, their provider’s terms, their security, and backups of the data on them. By running the agent you authorise us to execute commands and manage containers on that server on your instructions — access that is equivalent to root. Run it only on machines you are entitled to control.

Applications you deploy keep running on your servers if you stop using Sthora; the control plane does not hold them hostage, and it does not guarantee them either.

04Acceptable use

You must not use Sthora to:

  • break the law, or infringe anyone’s rights;
  • distribute malware, send spam, or host phishing or fraudulent content;
  • attack, probe, or disrupt any system or network, including Sthora itself;
  • get around the limits of your plan or the safeguards the platform applies to what it deploys;
  • access another organization’s data, or attempt to.

We may suspend an account that breaks these rules or puts the service or other users at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.

05Your content

You keep all rights to your code, configuration, and data. You give us the limited permission we need to store, process, and transmit them in order to provide the service to you, and for no other purpose. Our Privacy Policy describes how personal data is handled.

06Plans and fees

Plans and their limits are listed on the pricing page. Fees for a paid plan are those shown when you choose it, exclusive of applicable taxes. We will give at least thirty days’ notice before a price change applies to an existing subscription.

07Ending the agreement

You may stop using Sthora and delete your account at any time. We may end these terms with thirty days’ notice, or immediately for a serious breach. When the agreement ends, your access to the control plane ends; your servers and the applications on them remain yours. We delete account data as our Privacy Policy describes.

08Changes to the service

We improve Sthora continuously and may add, change, or remove features. We will not remove a core capability of a paid plan during a billing period without notice.

09Third-party services

Sthora works with services we do not control — your Git host, your DNS provider, Let’s Encrypt, Telegram, and your server provider among them. Their terms govern your use of them, and we are not responsible for their availability or conduct.

10Disclaimer

Sthora is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will prevent every failure of the software you run with it.

11Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the event that gave rise to the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against claims by third parties arising from the content you deploy or from your breach of these terms.

13Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Vadodara, Gujarat have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of them.

14Changes to these terms

When we change these terms we update the date at the top. If a change is material, we will tell account holders by email or in the portal at least thirty days before it takes effect. Continuing to use Sthora after that means you accept the new terms.
